From Tirupur's
Looms to
Global
Leadership.

Texture Clothing Company was founded in 1998 at the heart of Tirupur — India's knitwear capital, responsible for over 90% of the country's cotton hosiery exports. What began as a 12-machine knitting unit has grown, through deliberate reinvestment and a refusal to outsource quality, into one of the region's most advanced vertically integrated garment manufacturers.

Twenty-six years later, Texture occupies a 200,000 sq ft campus handling every production stage in-house — from ring-spun yarn to export carton. Our managing director's mandate since 2012 has been unambiguous: modernize the factory floor without sacrificing the craft, and build a global compliance architecture that makes Texture the lowest-risk, highest-confidence partner available to North American and European apparel brands.

The establishment of our Hayward, California liaison office in 2019 marked the final bridge — a Bay Area presence ensuring zero time-zone friction, real-time strategic alignment, and a dedicated U.S. point of contact for every partner brand.

The Fabric of Our Purpose

Why "Texture"?

The name is intentional. In textile science, texture describes the tactile character of a fabric — its hand-feel, its structure, the evidence of craftsmanship that cannot be faked. We chose the name because it represents exactly what we stand for: the tangible, physical quality woven into every garment we produce.

But texture also describes relationships. The most durable business partnerships — like the most durable fabrics — are built from interlocking threads of trust, communication, and mutual accountability. We build those relationships with the same precision we apply to a 32-gauge jersey knit.

Our dual pillars — Uncompromising Quality and Absolute Ethics — are not marketing language. They are the criteria by which every operational decision at Texture is evaluated: does this raise our quality standard, and does this uphold our ethical commitment? If the answer to either is no, we do not proceed.

Our Mission

"To be the most trusted vertically integrated manufacturing partner for global apparel brands — delivering quality without compromise, and growth without ethical shortcuts."

Our Vision

A future where responsible manufacturing is the industry baseline, not the premium option — and where Texture's operational model is the benchmark others are measured against.

Quality
First pillar
Ethics
Second pillar

Uncompromising Quality

Every garment that leaves our facility carries the Texture commitment: AQL 2.5 inline inspection, ISO-certified in-house testing, and zero tolerance for specification deviation. Our quality system is not a final checkpoint — it is embedded at every stage of production.

Absolute Ethics

GOTS, OEKO-TEX, WRAP Platinum, SMETA 4-Pillar, and amfori BSCI — our compliance stack is not assembled for marketing purposes. It is the non-negotiable operating framework that governs how we treat our workers, our water, and our word.

Transparent Partnership

We do not operate as a vendor. We operate as a manufacturing partner with full operational transparency: open factory access, real-time order tracking, audit-ready documentation, and a dedicated account manager who speaks your sourcing team's language.

The Minds Behind the Machine

Leadership built for
enterprise-grade partners.

The executive team at Texture combines deep textile manufacturing expertise with modern operational systems, global compliance fluency, and a commercial understanding of what apparel brands need from their manufacturing partners in 2025 and beyond.

Global Presence

Two time zones.
One seamless partnership.

Texture's dual-location model was built specifically to remove the friction that breaks manufacturer-brand relationships: time zone misalignment, documentation delays, and the absence of a local advocate. Our Tirupur headquarters and Hayward, California office are designed to function as a single, synchronized team.

The Tirupur campus is the operational core of Texture — a self-contained manufacturing ecosystem where every stage of garment production, from raw fibre intake to export-carton sealing, occurs under one management framework. Situated in Tirupur's SIPCOT Industrial Complex, the facility benefits from the region's unrivalled textile infrastructure: a skilled labour ecosystem of over 500,000 garment workers, specialised input suppliers, and direct port connectivity to Chennai ICD for both air and ocean freight.

Sales, Sourcing Strategy, U.S. Compliance & Logistics

The decision to establish a Bay Area presence in 2019 was deliberate. Hayward gives Texture a physical address, a local phone number, and human beings in the same time zone as our North American partners — eliminating the 12-hour communication lag that has historically frustrated U.S. brands working with Asian manufacturers. Our Hayward team handles initial sourcing consultation, sample coordination, U.S. Customs pre-clearance liaison, domestic 3PL onboarding, and ongoing account management for all North American clients.

Corporate Governance

Governed by
Transparency.

For a sourcing director, selecting a manufacturing partner is a governance decision as much as a commercial one. Texture's corporate governance framework is designed to meet the due diligence requirements of Fortune 500 procurement teams, institutional compliance functions, and EU CSRD reporting obligations.

Annual independent financial audit
Zero-tolerance ABAC policy
Quarterly board review
Third-party compliance audits × 4/year
Anonymous whistleblower mechanism
Request Governance Documentation

Texture Clothing Company Pvt. Ltd. is governed by a Board of Directors comprising the Managing Director, two independent non-executive directors, and one external financial advisor. The Board convenes quarterly for operational review and annually for strategic planning, with ad hoc sessions for material compliance events. Board composition, meeting minutes summaries, and director disclosures are available to qualified institutional buyers and compliance counterparties on request.

Texture's financials are audited annually by a ICAI-registered Chartered Accountant firm independent of management. We maintain separate statutory and management accounts and provide consolidated P&L and balance sheet disclosure to major buyer counterparties as part of our supplier pre-qualification process. We meet all MCA21 filing requirements and our GSTIN, CIN, and IEC (Import Export Code) are publicly verifiable.

Texture maintains a zero-tolerance anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) policy aligned to the UK Bribery Act 2010 and FCPA principles. All employees, agents, and third-party intermediaries are required to complete annual ABAC training. A confidential whistleblower hotline — operated by an independent third party — provides anonymous reporting for any ethics concern. No facilitation payments are permitted under any circumstances.

Texture undergoes a minimum of four independent third-party compliance audits per calendar year across our active certification programmes: GOTS (Control Union), WRAP (approved monitor), SMETA (Bureau Veritas), and BSCI/amfori (SGS). In addition, key buyer accounts conduct their own supplier audits — welcomed and facilitated by our compliance team without restriction. Full audit reports are available to buyers on the Sedex platform or via secure data room.

Texture handles buyer design IP, trade secrets, and commercial data with the strict protocols expected by global brand partners. Our NDA framework, reviewed by both Indian and U.S. legal counsel, covers all pre-production design exchanges. Digital design files are stored in access-controlled, encrypted environments. We comply with applicable data protection regulations governing our operations in India and our commercial activity in the U.S. and EU.

Commercial agreements with Texture include a defined governing law and jurisdiction clause, typically offering buyers the choice of Indian law (Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996) or a mutually agreed neutral jurisdiction. We maintain active legal retainers with both Coimbatore-based commercial counsel and a San Francisco Bay Area law firm for U.S. contract matters. Our standard payment and delivery terms comply with ICC Incoterms 2020.
